Robyn has qualifications in social work, disability studies and sociology and is the co-leader of the international, longitudinal studies: Pathways to Resilience and Youth Transitions, funded by the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).
In 2002 Robyn was awarded an ONZM (Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit) for services to research and education in social work. She undertakes research on family and community wellbeing; young people's pathways to adulthood; social work theory and practice; disability; and community development. She has published nationally and internationally on this research.
