Debbie Sturmfels holds a MA in Social Work from the University of Canterbury and has practiced social work for more than 30 years. She has recently joined the team on a 3 day per week secondment from Child Youth and Family where she is a principal advisor in the Office of the Chief Social Worker.
Her primary focus is to utilise the research findings and create practical resources that expand and challenge thinking about how young person centred approaches and multi-agency working can be taken further within the Ministry of Social Development – in social work practice, service delivery design, and policy settings.
