I am working on the Youth Transitions Project for 10 weeks over my summer between semesters at the University of Otago. I am studying towards a bachelor of laws and of science majoring in chemistry and am about to begin my final semester. I feel immensely privileged to hear the stories that Youth in New Zealand have to tell and to learn about the challenges they have to overcome.
To ultimately be working towards better care and support of these individuals, with such a capable and enthusiastic team gives me great optimism for real and positive change. It is wonderful to work with such passionate people on such an important and worthwhile project and I hope to continue on the tangent of working for Young People in my professional life.
